From the founder

“Since 2004, my goal has been simple: help clients quickly identify the right data center, GPU infrastructure, or powered site without wasting weeks talking to providers that aren’t a fit. We narrow the field, introduce qualified options, and let you make the final decision.”

About Bob Spiegel

Bob Spiegel founded QuoteColo in 2004 after a sales career at BBN Planet, XO Communications, and Akamai. The last 20 years have been spent building relationships with data center operators across the US and Canada, the kind where a call gets returned and a real number comes out of the sales team rather than a form auto-response.

Over 1,000 companies have placed infrastructure through QuoteColo. The reviews say the same thing repeatedly: fast response, real answers, no runaround.

In 2026 more of his time goes toward GPU and AI infrastructure, specifically finding the regional and mid-tier facilities that will take a 1-3 rack deployment at 10-30 kW when the major operators are quoting 100 kW minimums and 6-month power queues.

QuoteColo Successes

Traditional colocation

Over 1,000 infrastructure teams have been placed across 500+ US and Canada providers since 2004. Footprints from 1U to multi-rack enterprise deployments.

Mining and Exchange

Mining vertical active since 2017. 30+ vetted mining hosts. Facilitated 200+ container sales, 12 farm transactions, 90,000+ ASIC miners, and 10 gigawatts of hosting capacity placed.

GPU and AI colocation

Now the highest-volume segment. Single-rack AI deployments at 10-30 kW placed with regional providers after Tier 1 rejections, and multi-rack GPU clusters at 20-60 kW. The majority of new inquiries in 2026 involve GPU or AI workloads.

mW infrastructure

MW-scale powered land, wholesale suite, and build-to-suit introductions for institutional buyers, developers, and fund-backed operators.

What Makes the Difference

Which providers actually have capacity right now

Most colocation searches surface the same half-dozen major provider names. In a lot of cases those providers have a power queue that rules them out for your timeline, or minimums your footprint doesn’t meet, or won’t publish pricing until you’ve completed their qualification process. We know which mid-tier and regional facilities have available capacity for your kW and rack count today, including operators that don’t appear in search results.

Pricing by email before a sales call, not after three of them

The pattern we hear before people find us: contact a provider, wait a week, get routed to the wrong department, schedule a discovery call, still leave without a real number. We send pricing by email within hours, so you talk to a sales rep after you’ve already seen the cost.

Privacy during the initial search

Some Tier 1 providers require full company qualification before discussing capacity or pricing. If you’d rather not share the company name, funding stage, or website upfront, mention it in your requirements. We know which facilities will start with technical specs and get to the company details later.

Your requirements go to us, not to a distribution list

When you submit your specs, they come to us directly. We figure out which two or three providers are the right fit and make an introduction. Your contact doesn’t get distributed across a database of sales teams.

Recent Deployments

AI team, 5 racks, 4 at ~40 kW each, Seattle/Portland metro

A hardware team building a private AI inference cluster needed four high-density racks (~38 kW peak, Supermicro 1U, RoCEv2, 100G uplinks, Google Cloud priority) plus one standard 10 kW rack. They preferred to stay confidential through the evaluation. We matched them with a Pacific Northwest facility that engaged on technical specs first and had the A/B power and fiber paths they needed. Contract signed within three weeks.

AI startup, 3 racks, 15 kW each, after Tier 1 rejections

A Series A company bought their own H100s and got turned away by three major operators citing 100 kW minimums. They found us through a Claude search. We placed them with a mid-tier Texas facility on a 12-month term with an expansion option. Their words: “a colo broker, easy to work with and got us what we needed.”

SMB, first colocation, 5 racks, Seattle area

A web and app team leaving shared hosting had never used a referral service before and wasn’t sure what to expect. They found QuoteColo through Google, hesitated, and filled out the form anyway. We matched them with two regional providers and they signed based on the pricing. Afterward: “it definitely made my colo search much easier and quicker.”

How It Works

Step 1
Step 1
Share your specs

Location, rack count, kW per rack, bandwidth requirements, term preference, and any compliance needs. A rough spec gets the process started just as well as a detailed one.

Step 2
Step 2
We match and filter

We cross-reference your requirements against 500+ providers, including regional and mid-tier operators that don’t appear in standard searches. Facilities without the right power density, with minimums above your footprint, or with unavailable capacity in your timeline get filtered out before the shortlist reaches you.

Step 3
Step 3
You get a shortlist by email

Matched providers with real pricing, power specs, and available capacity, typically within hours. You review the options at your own pace and reach out to whoever interests you. No phone call required before you’ve seen what’s available, and no obligation after.

    Frequently Asked Questions

We’re happy to answer any other questions you have. Here are answers to some common questions:

    Is your service really free?

Yes. Data center providers pay us a referral fee when a placement is made, using the same commission budget they would allocate to an in-house salesperson. Your price is not marked up compared to going direct. In many cases, buyers secure better pricing because we have established provider relationships and visibility into current market quotes.

How do you decide which providers to recommend?

We begin with your actual requirements, including location, power (kW), rack count, cooling type, compliance needs, and preferred contract term. We then match those requirements against our network, verifying both available power and available rack space. Our experience allows us to identify providers that are a realistic fit for your deployment rather than wasting your time with facilities that cannot accommodate your needs.

I haven’t heard of QuoteColo before. How do I know you’re real?

QuoteColo has been operating since 2004. Founder Bob Spiegel’s background at BBN Planet, XO Communications, and Akamai is publicly verifiable. Our Google reviews reflect real customer placements and a strong reputation built over two decades. If you’d prefer to speak with someone before submitting your requirements, simply call us at (888) 400-5732.

What if I prefer to stay confidential during the initial search?

Confidential searches are common. Many AI teams and enterprise buyers prefer not to disclose their company name, website, or funding details during the initial provider outreach. We know which providers will evaluate technical requirements first without requiring your identity. If confidentiality is important, simply mention it when submitting your requirements.

Will I get repeated sales calls after I submit?

No. Email is our primary communication channel, and Bob typically responds within a few hours. If you’d prefer a phone call, simply request one and we’ll schedule it. Your contact information is never distributed to multiple provider sales teams at the same time.

Why not just call data centers directly?

You certainly can, especially if you already know the facilities that fit your deployment. However, most providers do not publish accurate pricing, many have minimum deployment requirements that aren’t disclosed until late in the sales process, and many regional facilities with the best pricing and available capacity don’t appear prominently in search results. What can take weeks of outreach on your own can often be narrowed to qualified options within hours through our network.

Do you work on GPU and AI deployments?

Yes. GPU and AI deployments now make up the majority of our work. Many Tier 1 operators require 100 kW minimum commits and 36-month contract terms, making them impractical for smaller deployments. We connect buyers with regional and mid-tier facilities that support 1–5 racks, 10–60 kW deployments, modern cooling technologies—including containment, rear-door heat exchangers (RDHx), and direct-to-chip liquid cooling—and straightforward pricing without lengthy qualification processes.
